I did not grow up running or being athletic in any way.  I started running because I could do it before all the kids were awake.  I got a Garmin for Christmas so I could measure how far I had been running and was surprised by my pace.  I started entering local races and was doing pretty well.  As some one who never ran until their late 30's I had a lot of learning to do.  I started as a road runner, but discovered that I loved the trails and the mountains.  I am thrilled to be on the Aravaipa Racing Team. When I am not running I am dragging my sweet husband all around for racing and training,  mom to 3 awesome and fun teens, a PhD student and work part time as psychology professor and part time as an elementary teacher to keep the dream going.

Some of my proudest accomplishments are placing 2nd female in ultra distance of the US Sky running series in 2017. I hold 12 American age group records in for long distance running on the track.
