Interlaken in Twin Lakes

We had originally planned to run Loveland Pass to Guanella Pass today, but my youngest was up sick in the middle of the night and the weather for today was questionable so when my alarm went off I turned it off and went back to sleep. Sinjin was fine when he woke up and the weather was beautiful, but I am really glad that I got to see Interlaken! I should be on taper, but the Loveland to Guanella run might happen on Wednesday...

Back to Interlaken. There wasn't much climbing, but it was beautiful. Views of mountains with a view of a beautiful lake and sound of lapping water. This is one of my all time favorite runs!

Here is where you start

The lake is beautiful! Hard to keep your eyes on the trail.

There is an option to go up here or continue on the trail that runs along the lake to Interlake.

In case you can't decide between climbing and visiting a historic site...

Here is the quarter on top of the post.

In case you are all like "Ugh, I hate beautiful old buildings, I don't want to see that!" You can go around.

The Dexter house, where the family lived. It is beautiful! And you can just go in and walk around!

There run back was even more beautiful than the run to the buildings.

I can't recommend Interlaken enough! Even if you aren't a runner. It's an easy 2 miles hike and totally worth it the whole time!
